7 post-workout snacks you need to try!
It is important to keep your body fuelled after a good workout which means you should be consuming more protein. Exercise makes your muscle protein breakdown which is why you need to have the right amount of protein after exercise, as it gives your body the amino acids it needs to build and repair these proteins.
To help give you some inspiration for some tasty snacks post-workout, we’ve compiled 7 of our favourites for you. Have a read and give them a try next time you’ve worked out.
Chicken and Avocado Salad
Chicken is a great source of protein, so it will help you post-workout. Plus, adding avocado means adding in some healthy fats to keep your body fuelled for the day. Adding your favourite salad items like lettuce, tomatoes or onions can add some flavour without adding on tons of extra calories. Plus, you can use a dressing to make it super tasty.
Protein Pancakes
Pancakes are a great, filling snack whatever time of the day you eat them! To make sure you get your protein fix, you can add a protein powder into the recipe to help boost your protein intake. Now you can get so many different flavours of protein including banoffee, apple pie and cinnamon, so you can make your pancakes taste delicious.
Hummus and Pita

Not only that but milk has also been shown to help reduce the sore muscles and muscle damage you can experience after exercise.
